Grosvenor Health and Social Care is pleased to announce the acquisition of Rainbow Services (UK) Ltd.

Rainbow Care Services is an award winning, Scottish domiciliary care business operating in South Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway, East Ayrshire, North Ayrshire and Falkirk.

The acquisition of Rainbow brings with it nearing 8000 hours per week and over 300 care staff to the Grosvenor group.

This latest acquisition gives Grosvenor HSC a real strong presence in Scotland with this acquisition complementing the already established offices in Clarkston, Falkirk, Dunfermline and Bearsden under its brand Balmoral Health and Social Care.

Speaking of the latest acquisition, the second in recent months following the purchase of AJ care in Leeds, Ravi Bains Chief Executive Officer stated

"We are extremely proud and delighted to have acquired such a business that shares our family values and quality ethos. Alice, Sandy and Sara have built a tremendous Care at Home business and I thank them for entrusting us with looking after staff and service users going forward.”

Darren Stapelberg Managing Director added

"This acquisition gives Grosvenor HSC a major presence in Scotland and further cements Grosvenor as one of the leading providers of care services in the UK. We are excited at the additional opportunities that this will give us going forward. The aim is to develop and expand both the service throughout Scotland and to further improve the quality of the existing businesses in our Group."

Sara Abbot (Operations Director - Rainbow) commented "We are delighted to have secured the sale of our business to Grosvenor HSC. As a family owned and managed company, we were conscious of finding the right home for our business. We truly believe that Grosvenor is this home. I am excited to join the team and look forward to continuing on with our expansion plans with the support of the larger group."

Ravi Bains Chief Executive Officer finished by thanking the support given by HSBC and his team of legal advisors (Gateley Plc), the agents Redwoods Dowling Kerr, the accountancy firm Mazars and finally to the senior Directors in getting this deal done.
