Grosvenor Health And Social Care Climb Snowden

fun pics

Snowdon is the highest mountain in Wales at 1085m high, and considered a difficult climb in ordinary circumstances but imagine taking that challenge on by torch light. 10 of Grosvenor Health and Social Care's management team chose to take on the challenge on the evening of 20th June 2019 in order to raise money and awareness for the Care Workers Charity.

Grosvenor have been in partnership with the Care Workers Charity for the past 2 years and proudly were awarded Best Care Engagement Group in the Care Workers Charity Awards 2018. We are very passionate about supporting those on the frontline in our industry and saw this climb as an ideal opportunity to show our deep and ongoing commitment to the charity.

Our team got stuck in to the challenge enjoying some of the amazing views as they went along. We are very proud to announce that the whole team managed to complete the challenge in a time of 7 hours battling along in deteriorating conditions and light with very low visibility once they reached the summit where they also experienced rather chilly temperatures of -2 degrees Celsius. The general feeling amongst the group alongside the inevitable tiredness that came along with the climb was one of great pride and achievement at completing the challenge and also at raising a near £2500 to hit the fundraising target!
